Parents Guild

The PS#1 Parents Guild is the volunteer organization through which every parent can find a comfortable way to offer time, energy, talent, effort, ideas, and suggestions in support of the school mission, school administration, and classrooms. Its goals include supporting the staff and students, building community, fundraising for the school, and offering volunteer opportunities in the broader community. Every parent in the school is a member of the Parents Guild.

The Parents Guild works through committees including Back To School Picnic, First Day Coffee, Make New Friends Day, Fall Festival, Fathers Breakfast, Community Service, Library, Scrip, Hot Lunch, Staff Assistance, Staff Appreciation Day, the bi-annual Dishversity Day and Grandparents and Special Friends Day, Itty Bitty Art Sale, One From the Heart, Yearbook, Hospitality, School Spirit, annual Auction and Parent POP newsletter.

Parents Guild activities and events are run by designated committee chairs along with the Parents Guild Executive Board. The Executive Board meets monthly at the school and welcomes the involvement and ideas of all PS#1 families.
